Happy Family Chinese Restaurant in Epsom

This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very professional and the food they cook is so yummy. I am always happy to have a good dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Had a great late lunch here. The food was fantastic. The service was very professional and welcoming. I accidentally spilled my soda all over our booth and the waiter was so nice about it. Super clean restaurant, including the bathrooms. Boston quality. Will definitely go back when in the area again!

This place is super cute. we were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess, and was served by a very wonderful host, the manager or owner also came out and talked to us, extremely friendly atmosphere, great food we will definitely return and we'll be telling our friends.

Half the time its good, half the time its bad. Its a hit or miss type of situation. When its good, its really good. The wait time isn't too long. Their teriyaki can be fatty at times, but nothing really too egregious. The restaurant decor itself feels a bit bland and outdated. Good, not great.

Awesome Food, friendly Staff...

Tried again after having staples in our food previously. Ordered 2 General Gao chicken dishes requested all white meat. Picked up order, only 1 order in bag when we got home. I called, they said I only had ordered 1. It was so spicy hot, we could not even eat it. Threw it away. Very dissapointed. Have had this dish many other places, never this spicy.

I had an extraordinary time in this spot. We loved the wonderful vibes and the meals. The staff members were very friendly. I’m glad we eventually decided to visit this spot.

This site is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I feel like having a decent meal, this is the place that comes immediately to my head. good and food and a rich cuisine.professional staff members, and good mood. And very important, the bill is honest. I sent my friends to this place with great pleasure.

I usually take out a box of chow mein or chop suey. Served with white rice. Good prices. Good friendly service.

Would go here everytime I get chinese food if it wasnt 30 minutes away.

Sorry to say this but something has changed here my family and I have been going here for off and on for many years and though the food is good it's not what it used to be

This spot provides extraordinary service and enjoyable menu. My favourite restaurant ever. The meals came out fast and the rates were reasonable. I recommend this place.

The food is VERY good however I’m leaving three stars because we got home after ordering two meals (one with white rice and one with beef fried rice, no vegetables) to find one order of beef fried rice with onions and one meal with no rice at all! Would go back but we live 20 minutes away.

Place is nasty.. food was disgusting. Service was unfriendly. No substitutions.. never going back.

The service is always great. The food and tea are tasty. I enjoy the hot sour soup with dumplings on the side. Their egg rolls are just right. Prices are okay.

I am definitely coming back again! The food and drink are top quality, the wait staff is top notch (they even bagged up our leftovers) and low key friendly environment!

Nice place with quick service. Also buffet on Wednesday can't be beat for the price and food is better than the normal buffets but get there early.

If I lived closer this is the only place I'd eat American Chinese. Every time I've ordered from them, it's been great and better than anywhere else. Definitely would try this if you're looking for Chinese in the area!

It was nasty. We couldn't finish our meal and didnt bother bringing home left overs. The crab rangoons tasted like they had just started to go bad. The chicken fingers tasted like what i would think a dirty sponge would taste like. The lomein had an over powering smokey flavor. The meat in the dumplings wasn't completely cooked. The egg roll tasted like dirt and beets. It wasn't just one thing that came out gross. I've never had Chinese food that bad in my life. 🤢🤮

I went to Happy Family tonight, 2/13/20. Best seven hundredth experience ever and still some of the best customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I have been going to this restaurant since I was 10 years old. The hostess seated me and and the rest of my group promptly upon entering the restaurant, the waiter, David, was fantastic and got our drinks immediately then after a moment to get settled and look over the menu pondering our choices he took our order with extreme patience. The owner, Song, stopped by the table and made sure everything was to our liking and was very personable as always and knows how to pronounce my name even though English is his second language and I have a uncommon name. Rating: 11/10; Great service, food, and atmosphere. Best Chinese restaurant in the greater Concord area.

Just picked up a take-out snack: hot and sour soup and a couple of egg rolls. Soup was very good and egg rolls were some of the very best I've ever had. First visit so I can't vouch for consistency. Service was friendly and accurate.

I wish I could give minus stars. Bad service on a Saturday night ... even when the place is not busy.The plates and glasses were dirty. The steamed dumplings that we ordered as appetizer, arrived halfway through the main course. Those dumplings were undercooked. We told them...they took it back and blamed us that these take time to cook. Not like we rushed them to bring the food. Let me also add...we were just two people not a huge party. Staff doesn't understand simple terms like portion size and quantity. Extremely disappointed...

Definitely Situated For A Chinese Take Over, Military Style~

When we go out to eat at a Chinese restaurant we expect a clean restaurant and clean facilities because this reflects the cleanliness of the kitchen. We also expect good drinks, fair prices and good service. The Happy Family fully meets all these expectations, Which I cannot say for a lot of restaurants that we have visited. We have ordered duck dishes in many restaurants and have been disappointed, not here, the BEST House Special Duck we have ever had. Full of tender meat and crispy skin. The House Fried Rice puts the rest to shame. And I could go on. To say the least this restaurant has become and will continue to be our go to place for Chinese food. And make no mistake we have been eating Chinese food for at least 55 years.

The food was great, the employees were great, the place is nice and clean, the employees check on you every 3 minutes or so, it's a great place!

Use to come here alot 10 yrs ago and loved it....new owners so will have to try a few more dishes to really get a feeling for it. Will def be back. Didn't care for the scorpion bowl, too fruity imho

Best Chinese I've ever tasted; cooked to perfection. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bathrooms were a bit on the messy side. I highly recommend for your Chinese food fix!

I miss the buffet cant wait for covid 19 to be gone . But there take out is good the portions are kinda small in comparison to other Chinese take out meals but food is good

My family and I love this restaraunt. They gave the kids a dollar and a Chinese coin on the Chinese NY. Food is excellant. We go every other week.

I go to Happy Family my multiple times a month and I’ve never been disappointed w the food. Portion sizes are not stingy, prices are great, the staff is always friendly and helpful! I would recommend it to anyone in 5 mile radius of the Traffic Circle!

This place is amazing and if you like Chinese vegetarian food you won't be disappointed. The all you can eat menu (offered at limited times) allows you to sample a wide range of the menu with smaller tapas-style servings than you'd get from the a-la-carte menu (which has a lot more choices). I've brought dozens of carnivores here and many have been impressed and wanted to come back. One even became vegan. The staff are awesome too.

Really, really, really, really mediocre. That's the best compliment I can give. Sorry.This food is purely... well I hesitate to call it "edible."There is nothing special or even redeeming about what we ordered - which was dumplings, chicken fingers, appetizer platter, chicken corn soup, chicken with string beans, and eggpalnt with broccoli.We tried it all. And basically hated it all.Really the lowest of the low quality.There is absolutely no reason this place should get 4.2 ☆. None at all.I'll tell you this: we bought all that food to feed us for several days. And instead, it will all end up in the trash. Wish it were better, to say the least.Sorry!
